I'm appalled at the idea that straight people are presumably wrestling with a deep sense of disgust whenever they see queer people kissing.

First of all, this isn't the case - there are tons of straight people who don't have any unusual reaction to the sight of queer kisses.

Even if such widespread disgust were real - so? Disgust can be learned, it can be unlearned. Recognize that this is harmless and beautiful.
