I really think, by the way, there should be more debate between right- and leftwing viewpoints on college campuses.

The problem with this kind of false balance becomes clear if you've ever watched debates on the BBC.

The BBC is constitutionally bound to balance left and right. What this means is that more time is spent debating things like -

- whether or not discrimination or racism exists rather than how to tackle it.

yeah I agree there's a potential "Overton window" problem here. But the academic window doesn't overlap the mainstream...
