My intense sympathy for non-passing trans people comes in part from that experience. I know what it's like to not feel safe existing.
There were a few months when I tried to live as a full-time femme/crossdresser. I was ultimately not brave enough to deal with the reaction.

I get why you stopped being full time. If I could feel slightly comfortable not crossdressing for the sake of safety I would.
