1/ I admit under imaginary torture that when I watched the first Republican primary debate, I actually kind of liked Trump.

2/ He came out and said that politics was all about money, and he made everyone else on stage look like an asshole. It was funny.

3/ But it's not funny anymore. He might really win. He's a reality TV candidate with few stable ideas. His stable ideas are all bad.

4/ Combined with nationalism growing again in Europe, it feels like all the last century's progress is being undone.

5/ It seems like people are losing faith in the idea of international unity and peace. Makes me feel like history really is doomed to repeat

6/ And human history really will be nations ripping each other apart from the beginning until the bitter end. Hope I'm wrong. [fin]
