I agree with you about the presence of a divide but I would disagree it’s generational. Or medical transition/being binary. I think it’s more about the kind of trans sub-community you come out into/mix with at key stages of your post-coming out political consciousness

I think I would have been a very different kind of trans person if I had taken advantage of the safe spaces some trans communities offer and built my politics there. As it is I look at both radicals and straight trans women who have assimilated perfectly and feel jealous of both

You know, I still think your position is understandable, but I’ve also read a lot of the replies to you over the last few days (the ones diaageeeing with you) and a lot of them are majorly insightful. I know it probably feels like a huge pile on but it’s worth a read and reflect.
