Your feeling are valid but I will say that there are men who are specifically attracted to trans people and while that may trigger our dysphoria, that’s still incredibly valid. I think we should move away from shaming men who are explicitly attracted to trans people.https://twitter.com/whatsgooddiablo/status/1164282934402191360 …

Also, like, 87% of chasers are eggs.
-
lol in which case dismissing them automatically as creepy men is also not super fucking great

I went through the stage like everyone else where I just adored finding out a guy had only been with cis women until
me
but imo that is such an immature and insecure thing to seek out -
Contra: 'don't shame men who are exclusively attracted to trans women as being creepy' Also Contra: 'do shame trans women who would prefer to date someone who views them just like any other woman as insecure and immature'

I think it's a difference between men who are attracted to us, and men who treat us like a bucket list experience and talk constantly about how different and cool it is to be with a transwoman. I'm obviously into people who are into me, but it's the latter who feel like chasers.
-
At the same time I think demonizing men who like trans women pushes more men into that latter category so they feel like they have cover, so it's kind of a feedback loop in which we all lose.

idk, i've heard some stories of girls having chaser BFs that activity try to stop or interfere with their transition. Especially if they want GRS
-
however, i can totally see a good case for distinguishing them from normal trans-attracted men.

As far as I know, that term is more likely to get used towards someone who is really into trans women, if he treats them like a fetish and/or puts them on a pedestal, and other creepy stuff along those lines.
-
Yeah, I've always heard chaser being used to describe men who want to be topped by a trans woman, or want piv sex with a trans man (or consider them Men Lite(TM)), and actively discourage their partners from things like bottom or top surgery

This reads to me as cis men who are CHASERS with some fetish towards trans folks. People who are attracted to trans folks are attracted to us for the right reasons. They don’t need a label.
