Don't live on the internet. The world that TERFs create online is so perverse and dark. Lots of terror theory that is very weirdly hateful and oddly irrelevant to the real world. There's like mom's on here w timelines dedicated to weird trans conspiracies they share 24/7!
I’ve wasted a lot of my life trying to understand hate groups online, and TERFs are still a mystery to me. This obsessive, paranoid, nauseated loathing and disgust for a tiny fraction of the population that’s simply existing... I just don’t get it.

I think I do. its easy to treat anyone you view as an enemy badly, that's why so many people do it. and they view us as the enemy because they've deicded to put us in the male sex class, which is supposedly responsible for everything bad thats ever happened to the female class
I don't know tho, they hate us more than they hate men, they regularly side with them to attack us, even tho them seeing trans folks as their assigned gender is the root of their hatred

Do you have a sense of whether Mumsnet is a cause or an effect? It's chock full of transphobia (and weird antivax shit) and I always wonder if it shapes opinions in the UK or just reflects them.
