It's pretty much a certainty that YouTube and other major platforms will both-sides any demonetization/deplatforming. Here's how they think: "You want us to ban fascist content? "You want us to ban homophobes who say f*g? Well then we'll also ban gay men who say it. Equality!" And of course most of this is done by computers that can't distinguish different contexts and speakers anyway.
I had to learn this a couple years ago when Nazis were getting my videos taken down by mass flagging. An anti-fascist video that displays a swastika in it will get banned. A pro-fascist video that uses dog whistles instead of overt symbols will be left alone.
Machine learning is just bias laundering and we should always be extremely critical of any use of it that involves humans
We went from the old internet, knowing people would want to say slurs and blacklisting those words on our old school forums, to allowing those same users to influence what gets the most visibility and what should be removed
I think the main problem is that it pretty much has to be done by computers at this point. I guess they could make an exception for bigger creators, but I can't see that working incredibly well.
They shouldn't pretend that a review was made then. It's simply a lie that it was reviewed.

I think it's also worth considering the potential unintended consequences of feeding a persecution complex, suppressing peaceful dissent, and pushing people into echo chambers
the problem with basically every website in existence is they make really vague rules and then let robots enforce them cuz the digital ad market isn't profitable enough to pay for human workers
