That's literally the situation in LeftTube & related communities, where I see mostly white voices saying "revolution now, punch Nazis, ACAB"—presumably because they *can* say those things without being perceived as hysterical & dangerous to the same extent as non-white radicals.

I also think it's easier for white creators to perform this tedious ritual of "empathizing" with racists, which is apparently the holy grail of discourse & one of the main things I find myself praised for doing—never mind that I haven't done a video on race in more than a year.

At this point I would simply love to turn over the whole discussion of race to non-white creators. But of course that would require audiences to stop hand-wringing about the feelings of racists and actually listen to POC. Are we ready for that?

It's something worth to think about for sure, but you propose a whole lot of hypothesses that need to be tested and not just presumed accurate conclusions.

like what? how do you propose quantifying measuring the amount of pushback and how it differs other than listening to people’s experiences? at the moment it looks like you’re just asking for proof as a dismissal tactic

Definitely remember some white friends (who were fond of casually declaring "ACAB") suddenly becoming Very Concerned about giving cops benefit of the doubt as BLM picked up traction in 2014
