Took me a long time to fully realize this and omg it makes so much more sense of the world around me. Among everything that sucks about our circumstance, at least I'm thankful that people like me can find and hear voices like yours and benefit from your perspectives and insights

Ironically, none of them would ever agree to a real debate e.g. one with moderators, time limits, and penalties for nonsense.

They'll do a traditional debate format, but only if the audience and moderators are on their side enough to basically nullify the format anyway.

Little Ben Shapiro made me see that debates are a poor way of finding out what's true. There's not one “Ben Shapiro DESTROYS” video that's ever convinced of anything.

For me it was the Republican Primary debates in 2015. I realized that when you have 10 idiots shouting at each other on one stage nothing really gets done or debated, and then I realized all debates are like that to one extend or another.
