This is one of the few things I don't see a big deal about and I think this could be related to your 'Traps are gay' video. As a straight white male I don't see the big deal about forcing trans people to have to admit their born gender on their birth certificate.

reasons: 1) trans people who pass & are stealth (people don't know they transitioned) get outed 2) people whose appearance doesn't match their ID's gender are accused of lying & can't do ID-necessary things 3) precedent for other restrictions against legal / medical transition

my *original* birth certificate had my name AND gender mistyped. parents freaked out, got it fixed. ( no one asked me! ... I’d have kept it ) if gov’t demands my ORIGINAL certificate ...
they will force *themselves* to give me a gender-marker change. 
and pronouns!

TL;DR: the gov’t has been been incompentent with paperwork longer than I’ve been alive ... aaannnnd nothing seems to have changed
