Sickened but not surprised at today’s SCOTUS decision, but am also feeling empowered after the massive show of love and support for trans people over the weekend. The momentum of that display of unity is powerful - do not forget that.

I saw someone tweet that it is noteworthy that since a bisexual cis man organized the stream and it was occupied and promoted from across the spectrum meant that the far right/TERF crowd didn’t really know how to hit back using their usual tactics, so they couldn’t.

Part of that tactic is “breaking up the LGBTQIA alphabet” - it’s much easier to target and abuse trans people using this divide and conquer strategy - that is why this show of unity is both powerful and noteworthy

Going forward I hope we see events like this organized and hosted by trans people, while getting the same level of vocal support and enthusiasm from the rest of the crowd and our allies as we gave to @Hbomberguy over the weekend

not that cis ppl shouldn't stand up for trans rights—obviously they should since people listen to them and that's really important and we need them! so I think the credit @Hbomberguy has gotten is deserved
