I hear you. I think it's important to highlight that with the murder issue in the US we're talking about TWoC 99% of the time. But there are also other kinds of violence that nearly all trans women experience, and I agree that shouldn't be dismissed.
maybe what you're reading as dismissiveness from me is I do have a distaste for eg white trans women posting about day of remembrance without highlighting that it's not us who are the vast majority of the victims

That's very understandable, it does seem like some people in the trans and queer community in general have an issue with turning one groups issues into an "us" thing. The "buy me pizza thing" going around last year's TDoR seemed pretty disrespectful in my eyes.

For the record, the "buy a low-income trans woman a pizza" thing during TDoR has been around a few years as protest against exactly the sentiment y'all are describing that has turned TDoR into toothlessly liberal grotesquerie of mouthed support with no action ala Gay Shame.
