The whole thing is especially hilarious because the non-4chan use of "hon" is actually regional Baltimore dialect. It's part of Baltimore culture. We have a yearly event here called "HonFest." Yes, really.

I dunno if you were aware but when you said "unlockable fish" I giggled. Because "fish" is also a term used by trans people in some places to say other trans people look good. This whole language thing is fun huh!

well surely "fish" comes from the drag queen use of "fish" to mean resembling a cis woman, which comes from the kinda misogynistic history of gay men calling women fish for obvious reasons. I find it kind of an irresistable term tho and as you say, fun.

I see anti-MLM people on reddit using “hun” as a term for MLM ladies because they’ll randomly message you on FB like “hun you need to check out these awesome leggings that I’ll be ruined if you don’t buy off of me”
