Those arguments pretty strongly imply that NB/GNC ppl (and trans ppl who can't transition or be read as their gender for w/ever reason) are out of line for asking ppl to treat us as our genders though. f'ex genderfluid isnt a "social role" I can "perform" to any1's satisfaction

I don't think that's the implication. By asking people to treat you as your gender, aren't you acknowledging that gender is in fact largely social and not merely a matter of psychological identity?

Oh I didn't see you'd replied lol. But I agree on that, it's just that it seems your conclusion is "your gender is valid so long as a flawed society says so and the onus is on trans ppl to be acceptable to cis ppl" rather than challenging/expanding the construct of gender itself
