I hate how pretty much every FFS surgeon has a "before and after" gallery on their website where the before pics show faces pre-HRT, no makeup, and the after pics post-HRT, lots of makeup. One surgeon even shows an after pic with a SNAPCHAT FILTER. Jesus fucking Christ.
How about every before picture is neutrally lit, no makeup, right before surgery, and every after picture is neutrally lit, no makeup, a year after surgery. You know, so you can SEE WHAT THE SURGERY ACTUALLY FUCKING DOES. Or would that be too honest?
Website designer here. This is why I HATE working for plastic surgeons or beauty companies. They all do this--they want the after shots to be as beautiful as possible--they'll want any blemishes photoshopped out. Thankfully haven't had to do this for a few years.
Yup. They're selling you the image of flawless passing to make you all the more desperate to become a customer. It's disgusting, but it's what they do to make you book their meetings and line their pockets. Tried and true method for all B&A's for 'elective surgery'.
I don't see what the big deal is? Pre-surgery your arm and hand wouldn't coordinate well enough to allow contouring application. Sounds accurate.

The plastic surgeon I went to for my nose had pictures like that, I’m surprised it’s not like that for you. My surgeon is in the Netherlands
my surgeon only had those type you described- but i was getting top surgery, so they cropped faces out of the photos... like it was more an actual useful tool for deciding how you want to look & less about showing off the doctor’s best work... that’s how it should be!
