If “natural” means what occurs organically, then the natural communities are these: 1 Gay cis men, gay trans men, trans women who remain in their gay male social group 2 Cis lesbians, trans lesbians, trans men who remain in their lesbian social group
These are the communities that already exist. Both are much more “natural” than the L and G grouping, which is often largely a matter of political utility. At least, that’s my experience.
Also homophobia is rarely just about sexual orientation. It's nearly always a manifestation of a broader intolerance of gender non-conformity, of which homosexuality is a salient example. Being trans I'm uncomfortable in the same environments as I was as a gay man, just more so.
Sure, there are transphobic gay men, and there are gay men who are intolerant of gender non-conformity in their own community (see "masc4masc" and all that), but if I had to choose between hanging out with a random sample of gay vs straight men...
This drop the T stuff is honestly psychologically exhausting. Like I want to be outraged, but part of my mind is always thinking that shit is fake. I guess it's protection against idiocy.
Not to mention that if we are using “natural” as in naturally occurring (whatever that means), there’s a huge component of the animal kingdom that can and will change their sex.

It’s interesting and probably genuinely revealing of something about community clumping that bi folks aren’t in either of these clumpings.
I also wonder if there’s a region thing happening here - in my local community I see more of a trans/gnc clumping with bi folks, and cis gay men clumping elsewhere.
You are dangerously honest. I appreciate that. I feel like if someone had given me that honest rundown early in my journey,I could have been better at this queer thing. Still not good at it,but better.
Weird, it's almost like these geoups have been united in political support for each other since basically the beginning of their political lives.
