No don’t trust it, cuz I don’t wanna be called cis. I really don’t see why the emergence of the transgender community means I have to change when I call myself. No thanks. Yall just say CIS cuz yall don’t wanna say normal or regular man. 2bad. Im a regular normal natural born man
-
Cis just means not trans though, and I have never seen anyone object who didn’t think the correct term for them was ‘real’ or ‘normal’. It’s not. You’re not being asked to change a thing. Stop pretending trans people are disrupting your life and mind your business

It's all about education, and in many cases the willingness to self educate. Natalie, your very public transition was instrumental in fully opening my eyes and I am quite certain I'm not alone - keep doing what you do and let your heart fill with hope.

And that education can take some time, because there's really no frame of reference to help a cis person relate to the trans experience, but understanding is necessary to build real empathy

It’s a thing. It is happening. Humans are getting better at treating each other well. It’s far to slow, and, there are still far too many victims of bigotry and hatred, but, it _is_ on a good vector. You can trust that. You have an a11y here!
