I regret that thread I posted yesterday. I keep promising to stop but I never learn. The problem with Twitter is you're constantly faced with the dangerous temptation to philosophize. Fuck that. IG is good clean fun, let's all move there.

To be fair most of what I say now is best understood as deranged dysphoric ravings and you really shouldn't listen to it. I should probably actually talk to a therapist about this stuff instead of using Twitter.

Like this idea I have that everyone who compliments me is part of a sinister conspiracy to condescendingly trick me into delusionally not hating myself—I should not have tweeted about that. Now They know I'm onto them. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.pic.twitter.com/0v6CrjZmog

I like you because you are smart and funny. And I thought your thread yesterday was startlingly philosophically sophisticated, and gave a lot of insight into what transitioning is like to an uninvolved bystander (i.e. me).

I admire your research in videos, your surrealism, your humor, your rawness and your polish. Basically as long as you hit some of those notes in your work, I don't care what you're on about on Twitter. Twitter shouldn't be an accurate reflection of your fanbase, twitter is nuts

Honestly, despite the reactionary elements being present the thread also had a lot of insight, and it was worth reading, as your work generally is We all have conflicts, and parsing all that out in public can be rough, but it's also brave and valuable to others in the same spot

I think you're going through the same challenges a lot of us do - having to come to terms with the gap between what we as a community hold up as an ideal and the reality of being a dysphoric trans person living in the real world with other people.
