I'm also aware that pizza consumed in the US is a bastardization of indigenous Neapolitan culinary tradition, and that the domination of big American chain restaurants is a form of cultural violence that is erasing this tradition along with many others.

I'm furthermore aware that pizza is generally produced using meat and dairy products by an industry which, in addition to inflicting extreme harm on animals, is among the most dangerous and exploitative for its workers.

Several of you have now taken me to task for continuing to associate with friends and family who continue to espouse problematic views about pizza. I hereby condemn and disown these friends, along with any others who continue to associate with them.

I was remiss not to mention earlier that the harm caused by the dairy industry is better appreciated from an ecofeminist standpoint that recognizes the fundamentally patriarchal mindset underlying the exploitation of the female reproductive functions of dairy cows and the

commodification of lactation without respect to its environmental impact which, coupled with the overuse of fossil fuels, is predicted to cost millions of lives, beginning with the most marginalized but eventually making the Earth uninhabitable, precipitating the end of humanity.
