honest question: is there any conceivable way that I could dispute the claim that "trans women smell like men" in this context without policing sexuality in your view? Because I'm literally trying as hard as I can and wondering what else there is to do.

but the justification is the context where this most often comes up. And I agree: you don't need to have a justification. So just be honest, say "I don't want to date trans people because knowing someone is trans turns me off."

It seems like unless you put a giant “NOT ALL” disclaimer at the front of every tweet and continue to write SOME before designating groups of people, you will inadvertently come across like you’re policing someone, somewhere. Hell, even if you do all that. Don’t worry about it.
