It says National Coming Out Day. Not National Out A Gay Day. You should be ashamed of yourselves for posting this. Your office, and your government outed me to the world just to save the criminals working in your offices. There are few as evil as you.

Excuse me, but what are you taking about? How is that slogan ‘forcing’ anyone to come out? How did a political party ‘force’ you to come out? Think your anger should be aimed somewhere else perhaps?
-
By literally outing him in a statement from number 10...
-
Really? I didn’t hear that. That’s not good, but still, there’s nothing wrong with that slogan. They can’t just forget about the whole thing because of a mistake, otherwise no party would have any policies left!
-
It wasn’t a mistake. It was a co-ordinated attack by his ex partner.https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/shahmir-sanni-vote-leave-brexit-campaign-outing-lgbt-pakistan-stephen-parkinson-a8273171.html …
-
Interesting reading, but it wasn’t government policy, it was clearly the work of one individual. The results appalling yes, but should the government not try to promote equality now? The advisor responsible should be punished, not the whole of the LBGT community
-
He wasn’t punished though, that’s what makes this statement unbelievable.

My blood pressure just rose reading that hypocritical tweet. I'm old enough to remember Clause 28 and how the Tories dug their heels in against civil partnerships & equal marriage. I'll tell you what's 'always' true: that I'll never vote Tory ever in future.
-
Is that the same Tories that legalised gay marriage?
-
The majority of Tory MPs voted against the Bill (126 pro, 136 con). The Bill passed because opposition MPs supported it. Don't make me laugh.
-
Sorry : 126 vs 134
-
And yet it was the Tories in government who proposed the bill, not Labour under Blair or Brown.
-
It was the Lib Dems, actually, who always fought hard for this and managed it within the coalition govt. And thankfully Labour and other opposition parties backed it because if it'd been down to Tory votes it wouldn't have happened.
-
But, still, the Tory Prime Minister supported it strongly. It's a shame that Labour hadn't listened to the Lib Dems earlier.
-
It was still the Lib Dems who proposed the bill.

Except in Northern Ireland where you’d rather appease the DUP

Except when you out them as a means of political retaliation. How’s the DUP record on gay rights btw?
