I often question if I am a good dad, thanks for today's reminder that I am doing better than these assholes.
This is potentially one of the sickest practices religion has given us. The very idea that a girl's virginity somehow belongs to a man and is a commodity that can be passed to yet another man is pure insanity. The fact that this is still taught anywhere should alarm everyone.

Its an awful thing, but check the hyperbole. This is not one of the sickest practices religion has given us. It isn't exactly up there with genital mutilation, or torturing people to convert.

As a foreigner the entire "infant circumcision" thing seems pretty repulsive too but most Americans seem to pretend that isn't a religious thing for Christians and you did say "one of", so I guess I agree.
