The other common theme I tend to see is a desire for intimacy as much or more than the sex act. A simulacrum likely cannot produce that.

In the short term no. But in the long term it will help eat away at toxic masculinity. Remove the stigma and illegal from prostitution, make sex robots common and that will help change the social norms.
