He epitomises what is wrong with our politics today, MPs who think they can say what they like regardless of whether it is true, it's a very dark time we live in. As far as I can tell the ERG are trying to stick to the manifesto written by Theresa May.

MPs have always talked nonsense but there used to be a really strong, rigorous media that wouldn’t stand for nonsense & tear them apart. Robin Day (here today, gone tomorrow politician). Paxman asking Howard same question 7 times etc. And there were standards.

the point he was likely wanting to make is that the ERG are tarred by association with people like Bannon. And no-one (I hope) would want Bannon to run a country.

It’s also insulting to the memory of 7 million Jews who perished under Hitler - At least Lammy is in line with his party’s anti- semitism ideology

@DavidLammy ignorant thug: forgets that Hitler identified as a “National SOCIALIST”, whose competitors for mass murder & atrocities include Stalin & Mao. He should stop the emotive bullshit (apologies for my lapse there), stop name calling and address the substance of the debateThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
