Oh Connie - the longer I follow you in here, the more I like you. I’ve met Senator Brown a few times, but I sure would love to be able to meet you as well! :-)

If ever you see me, please come up and say hi, Heather.
-
I tried to come up and say hi to you at Border's in Westlake a few years ago and was told to leave you alone. I guessed that only people who can afford to donate to senators are allowed to say hello. I was a stringer for the Plain Dealer and former fan.
-
I’m sorry that happened. Our rule in our marriage: When we’re out in public, we belong to the public. Whoever said that to you was not speaking for me.
-
Thank you for the nice response. You do have a very likable smile. You know something? You would make a very good first lady.

I can’t wait for the
@npr take echoing this ridiculous Politico framing . Will we ever move beyond sexism, ageism and crass stupidity? Not to mention racism, classism, etc...@nprpolitics@politico -
Spot on
@cadetinpanama and it will@nprscottsimon who will bumble into the first gaff and then they'll all pile on.pic.twitter.com/XsWuXLeien -
I happen to revere
@ConnieSchultz as a truly great writer and journalist. Not sure why you make such assumptions. -
Thank you, Scott. I feel the same about you, on both counts. You’re also such a good person, which matters.

Do you think this crapola will stop if there are three or four women contending on the D side???
-
I think at least the fire might be dispersed.
-
They will all have to compete for Miss Congeniality. Why haven’t we advanced beyond this??
-
I really like Harris for the exact opposite reason. Not only incredable smart, but tough as nails and doesn't take shit from anyone. I like Warren, but her handeling of the DNA fiasco really gives me pause if she has what this campaign will entail. Nice isn't going to win.

The thread was about media assessments. Of course millions will love these female candidates for their intelligence, ideas and integrity.

My greatest fear is that the press has learned nothing from their errors in 2016
-
I think they are doing exactly what they get paid to do. That’s the problem. It’s us that need to learn the lesson of what the media reports/what they don’t. Another thing: Trump makes the networks lots of money & he’s potus; he will get 10x the coverage as any other candidate.
-
Media, just like much of America, chases the all-mighty dollar. There is no learning as of yet.
-
Completely agree. I thought they’d learned their lesson right after, but in retrospect, they were only dismayed bc their predictions were wrong, not because their sexist coverage got a monster elected president. CNN is especially guilty of this.

I'm still waiting for the headline that reads "Men cancel their presidential campaigns over fear of being compared to Donald Trump, who also happens to be a guy"
-
It is likey that by 2020 R candidates will be afraid of beinng compared to Trump.
-
Nonsense. Romney and Sasse (so-called “mavericks,” it boggles the mind!) are already vocally posturing to present a GOP alternative to
#TrumPence. -
Isnt that what I said? That by 2020 R candidates will be afraid of being compared to Trump? So wil want to have a track record of differences. Whether they will actually ACT as opposed to just speaking is another Q
