My heart is bursting. On the eve of my first child's birth, my dad - who's been in prison nearly my entire life - was granted clemency. He never intended harm, yet his crime devastated many families. My heart breaks for the families that can never get their loved ones back.

David has been in jail for more than 35 years. That’s a lot longer than most people serve for murder. So where is the privilege? I am very happy for David, his father, and his soon to be born child.

Really, 35 years for killing 2 cops and an armored guard is too much?

Congratulations you’re the 1000th person in this thread to not know how laws work. Should all the other cops in the Chauvin trial be let off because Chauvin was found to be the one who killed Floyd? Didn’t think so.

So he did kill those people? I’m confused. Unless you think felony murder and actual murder are the same things

Yes, by planning an armed robbery he accepted the responsibility that someone could be killed. Guns were always a part of the plan. So again, should we let the other cops off for Floyd’s murder or not? I never said or implied they were the same thing.

I’m still confused. The statement I was responding to said “killing” two cops and a security guard, I said he didn’t kill anyone, you said I didn’t understand the law but then claimed you weren’t saying the same thing. What is your point?

I’m claiming that he killed those people due to his actions. If you build an unsafe bridge and it falls 2 years after you build it, are you not culpable because you didn’t physically kill the people? Your grasp of law is awful and I’m starting to think you’re a troll
