Is it not important to people that @nhannahjones has admitted its historical inaccuracies or all of the historians and Pulitzer prize winners that called it a load of crap

We don't need to demand ethics but we should force them to admit their biases. Right now they claim to be real journalists.

Schools are trying to figure out how to adapt to pandemic guidelines while some are “teaching“ CRT. These are trending/hot topics. A perfect storm because ethics will be overlooked.
-
CRT has been around for decades (since early 90s), it isn't a trend. Use google for 5 seconds before you tweet. Whatever issue you have with 1619's "ethics", it's not related to CRT. They are not interchangeable.

Ethics in journalism has always been a comforting fiction. Need critical readers cause ethical journalism ain't coming.

What these teachers don't seem to realize, is that they are setting a precedent for a low barrier of entry to what is considered "factual" source materials. It's one thing to study and discuss the #1619 project. To treat it as fact is dangerous.
-
this is frightening. I get pissed when Hollywood movies take liberties with facts.
