In Roam, I usually end up creating lots of notes which have no content explicitly in them -- they're just named for a key term or person, and collect via back-links all the places the term was referenced Most useful combined with filters Wondering how to square these ideas

The advantage of these content free notes is that they're basically wikipedia stub articles in the map of my mind Idea is later on I can pull things out of the references and write up a summary if I want So far I rarely do though, mostly just use "noun notes" for navigation

I really like this but Roam should give semantic similarity in place of unlinked mentions

Ive been struggling with this recently. Noticing that all my threads are connected in more ways than twitter allows me to conveniently express, so I started listing the relationships in notes - outlining threads w/i threads, un-contextualized threads

incredible how my understanding of the subjects i've been focused on for a while has finally emerged through this process. my subconscious knows whats important wayyyyy before I can verbalize that it is or why - developing a process that allows space for this is essentialpic.twitter.com/TmtZwyBASz

Andy has a note called "Favor Declarative or Imperative Titles for Notes" Which holds his thinking on why this is or isn't a good idea
