Due to hiring freezes & our prioritization of felonies, our misdemeanor team shrunk as we kept filing new cases. The result: average caseloads rose from ~150 in 2019 to nearly 250 today. That is too many cases for one attorney, no matter how hard working. We need more lawyers.

I know several people who left the your office w/in 6 mos of your election. They all said that no Assistant District Attorney w/ any common sense is willing to work for you. The ones who remain need the paycheck/pension, or are former public defenders drinking your kool aid.

Point being, no attorney that's interested in keeping SF safe wants to work for you.
