Shame they didn't check the RF modulator properly - would have saved them having to send out loads of engineers to people's houses shortly after launch.

Just got a flashback to when I did a 6 month stint in Motorola's mobile (cell) phone plant that used to be in Bathgate, Scotland in the mid 90's. I can remember a lot in production fixes going on to solve various technical problems with the phones.
