In an effort to reduce street homelessness,

Security officers who guard the Metrorail in Miami-Dade have been fighting for a wage increase for months. Higher wages would reduce turnover and ensure safe staffing levels at each of Miami-Dade’s 23 Metrorail stations. It’s time for a fair wage for these officers.

Today, we rolled out our brand-new 100% electric bus fleet. These American-manufactured buses put us a step closer to converting our county fleet to all electric – a major goal in our climate action strategy.

Great to see you this evening. Thanks for caring about housing AND transportation. They are the top expenses households face. When affordable housing is built near transit, it’s even more affordable because you don’t need a car - and all the expenses that go along with it.
