My daughter is so thrilled and mildly embarrassed by the response to this too. Both of my girls love One Piece, read the manga, play the game (World Seeker isn’t the best) and have models of the Going Merry and Thousand Sunny in their rooms. By far their favorite.
I’d forgotten that the two of them did a bit on what they liked about One Piece. It’s a 6 and 9 year old take:https://youtu.be/2fPV7vpRjdw
Them comic novels high in price better to purchase online

At my Barnes and Nobles the Graphic Novel section expanded to include more indy books.
That looks like what happened here, but the expansion was the indie books taking space from the big publishers.
It’s very eye opening. I go to Barnes & Noble as much as I do with Flying Colors, but for the past couple years as an observer the manga shelves continues to grow while the comics/graphic novel shelves barely moves. Last time I visited there is not many Marvel and DC titles.
Treat and Oak Grove flying colors? I can still see those old commercials in my head
