Because Max is a sick socialist. Funny, their socialist leader Maduro said his people should eat rabbits and pets!

Sad to hear, but I have to wonder why he turned vicious. Generally doesn't happen with a trained animal. Hmmm.

Many reasons.. could be health related-thyroid, brain lesions/tumor etc..or could be dominance issues..could even be the dog not being able to remain clear in his head while loaded up in drive and dog redirected on handler..

I'm sure the pig won't share a tear for killing the dog, just as he wouldn't if it was an innocent person on the street while on routine patrol.

Sorry to read such news. Hopefully they can find out what triggered the behavior so this doesn't happen again. Hope the officer heals quickly.

This can be expected with the training methods they use. I hope this will cause them to reconsider their outdated training approach. But, honestly, I doubt it will. They’ll write it off as just one bad dog and continue using pain, fear, and intimidation to train them.

Seeing that this is the first time it's happened at Columbus, and I'm having a hard time finding any other instances, I'd say Tim, your argument doesn't hold much water. Just my observation.

Understood. But that’s called availability bias. The science is sound on the use of punishment creating aggression.

This incident, no matter the contributing circumstances, is a personal tragedy for this fine officer. The dog is a trusted partner in life and death work and his death will be no less of a loss than that of a human on the police force. Thank you for your device, Officer Carter.
