    6 weeks after submitting DNA evidence proving biological relationship between refugee here, who was an unaccompanied minor & his family abroad,& were still waiting for a decision. Total processing time is now 16 months. Why cant they process Family Reunification cases faster...

  12. The Law Reform Commission's 'A Regulatory Framework for Adult Safeguarding' and the consultation period, which includes submissions from the public, are a great opportunity to further the discussion around Adult Safeguarding law, policy and practise.

  13. Adults are at risk of and experience harm and abuse all over Ireland but the current law, policy and protections are inadequate. The imbalance of protections available led me to move the Adult Safeguarding Bill 2017. People are falling through the crack's of our current system.

    Lucy is right, it is institutional racism and it continues to happen year after year for over years, councils have an obligation to provide culturally appropriate homes. Mincéir accommodation has to be taken out of the hands of the council now.
