I have loved Grandmasters interviews, but today I realized just how harmful they can also be. I'm having people tell me that Cyclone Mage has >50% winrate in every matchup, because "@firebat said so in Grandmasters." If there was a deck with all >50%, it would be the only deck.

Isn't the whole point of this that with optimal play and different builds those decks don't have those match up spreads?
That's the idea but we don't have good evidence for it yet, optimal play goes both ways as well since people often don't play around sea giant well.

So how can you say its really easy to counter with mid hunter and murloc shaman if we are saying the data might not be accurate and you haven't tested it?

I'm saying the data is accurate, and right now it says mage isn't 50% in gm or ladder. Sure it's a strong deck that's pretty hard to play but I personally don't think optimal play or builds can make it some super deck you can make favoured v everything.
