Everyone I see talking about tournament mode after Iksar's tweet used to play the game and enjoy it even though it never had tournament mode. A new mode isn't going to fix the actual meta problems like baku/genn and nerfed aggro or bring people back.
Tournament mode doesn't actually change the game, even if blizz did decide to create one it would likely cater to casual players anyway. Let's fight the battles we can actually win and prioritise issues like classic, meta staleness and recent design philosophy
Tournament mode doesn't change the game but it changes the meta, since Bo3 or Bo5 with bans have completely different meta than the endless Bo1 of ladder. People are complaining that the meta is stale and tournament mode would change that a bit.
