This obviously puts the players in a bad spot but I don't think it harms the tournament at all. New meta will give viewing figures a big boost and people will be more likely to focus on the lineup building than the gender of the people playing
If anything this works as a promotion for the event. It's even more important now given that the information we get from it will affect tournaments in the coming weeks.
