    It doesn't have to be like this. We've seen every Scottish Government industrial intervention fail because they aren't prepared to go beyond the headlines and do what is necessary to build world-leading manufacturing companies owned in Scotland. It should be our national mission.

    Meanwhile, DWP provisional stats out today show another rise in Universal Credit claimants in Scotland - over 10,000 more between January and February this year. It takes the total to nearly 489,000. For reference, that number was 256,000 in Feb 2020.
