Congrats to Officer Blackwood! He received a Special Recognition Award at last month's employee picnic for his very thorough investigative work that led to the arrest of a hit-and-run driver who fatally wounded a bicyclist last March.

The Coconut Creek Police Department would like your help locating 17-year-old Dulce Chacon-Marquez. She went to school last Friday, May 18th, but didn’t show up to meet a family member after school. Her parents reported her missing the following day, May 19th.

We are trying to find Sarina Rapp. She is 15. She was last seen in the area of her home in the 5300 blk of NW 55th Terrace earlier today. At this point it appears she left of her own volition. Her family would like her home. If you can help us find her, please call 954-973-6700.

10:30 pm update on the officer-involved shooting. We had 3 of our officers transported to a hospital as a result of the incident. One of our police canines was also transported to an animal hospital. All officer injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time…

Congrats to Officer Capaldi! Chief Arenal presented him with 2018 Exceptional Duty Award at the employee picnic on January 19th. It was for his hard work and leadership making sure the holidays were memorable for a resident and her family after she was diagnosed with cancer.
