Been hearing random FUD about operationalizing Raft lately. Anyone have experience that supports this?

I think it stems from when there were few solid open-source implementations, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

The original paper has also since been expanded to cover cluster membership changes and other "edge cases."

A bit unrelated but I like
@CockroachDB multi-raft groups. Seems a good option for partitioning when clustering.1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

Are there any details why they drop it? The idea makes a lot of sense to me but didn't got the chance to be proven otherwise.

we haven't abandoned that technique, it's possible you're thinking of the removal of the "multiraft" pkg, it was simply merged into another.
