Crunch always happens in development (game or otherwise). It's inevitable. Anyone who says it won't happen is just wishful thinking. Too much $$ is spent on deadlines to move them, and no one can ever determine how long it will take up front, because it takes as long as it takes.

I say this having worked 35 hours this week, even though it's only Tuesday. Because we had a deadline. But today was our biggest day ever, surpassing our previous best day by an additional 50%, so hooray! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
