I'm not even sure if the CDC was providing a real time seasonal flu death count back then, beyond seasonal flu pediatric deaths, which show 89 on that update. I haven't been able to find reports of real time seasonal flu deaths.

I googled it today; October, 2019 - April 4, 2020 seasonal Flu deaths are between 23,000 - 61,000 in the U S. These are admitted estimates because patients may have co-morbidity explanations.

The difference between the "FLU" and "COVID-19" is that COVID-19 is 10x as contagious. Does that make sense to you?

I think it is as infectious as the common cold, which is, in fact, a coronavirus. Much more lethal, and very contagious, but not 10x more contagious.

I heard only two (2) hospitals in NYC hit 100% occupancy but lasted 1 day. ICU’s were never 100% occupied. No one was denied the use of a respirator because supplies were ample. Temporary hospitals & ships were basically unused. Excess capacity was plentiful as was hoarding.
