Lastly, public opposition to circumcision *in real life* is almost always thinly-veiled antisemitism, so for those that have mainly jumped on this issue because of what they've read online, consider that the most prominent champions for your cause are outright bigots.

Poisoning the well... nice "If you disagree with X then you're antisemitic" Nice way to avoid arguments and shut people down as bigots if they disagree with you.

No shit. My arguments against circumcision have nothing to do with religion and everything to do with the fact it's torture and a wholly unnecessary procedure, and given there are more and more Jews starting to protest it as well, I doubt they could be called antisemitic.

No. I'm an atheist, but will protect your freedom of religion and the practice of it. What I can't do and what is gaining traction and I imagine will soon become illegal in western democracies is the genital mutilation of babies who can't consent. I feel the same about ear rings.

It is consent that is the key. If your 18 year old son wishes to be circumcised he can make that choice. My kids can get a tattoo at 18 without my consent, but if they do, they will no longer be financially supported by me. I like tattoo's, but I want them to be mature enough

to understand the permanence of the decision that they are making. Their consent is key and the sexual assault and mutilation of a child is abhorrent when they can't consent and freedom of religion is also freedom from it, yet you advocate removing the choice from your own child.

If I was antisemitic the last thing I would be concerned about was the human rights of an 8 day old jewish boy.pic.twitter.com/ck94bSuF0l

Or, here's a thought, we just want men to decide for themselves if they want to have an important part of their penises amputated for any reason - cultural, religious, or aesthetic. If you're born with it, you get to keep it, unless it breaks or you don't want it anymore.

When the prayer group of black Christians was massacred I went to a local church with a majority black congregation. I told the pastor I'm atheist but asked if I could sit in on the sermon to show my solidarity for their right to worship in peace. I was welcomed. Who's the bigot?

I don't know your religion, but I will guess you're a Muslim or a Jew. I'm an atheist. However if there was a threat or fear for the safety of the congregation at a local temple, mosque or church I would stand outside so you could practice your religion in peace and without fear.
