@CloudFlare Thanks. And as soon as CF is switched on, it’s subdomain or pay for the SSL plan, right?

@simonbarber If you want to proxy SSL traffic you need Pro, otherwise you would pause CloudFlare on any SSL hosts in your zone.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@CloudFlare But you could have SSL on a subdomain as long as the orange cloud is grey? Have I misunderstood that part?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@simonbarber Yes, setting a grey cloud will pause CloudFlare on that record, so it won't pass through us.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@CloudFlare But this can’t be done with top level domain and www stuff without buying Pro, correct? Sorry for my questions!1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@simonbarber You can pause CloudFlare on any host, including the root and www.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@CloudFlare Oh, so there are no restrictions on SSL sites as long as CF is paused on those records in the zone? Great, thanks.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@simonbarber Yes. Although pausing CloudFlare will mean we cannot accelerate or protect on those domains/subdomains.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@CloudFlare ps: if clouds are grey, does this invalidate all CF settings, including analytics etc?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
@simonbarber Yes, this is because traffic isn't passing through our network when you set to a grey cloud.
