Hey Laura, you must have missed Theresa May's red lines, luckily I saved a copy, you're welcome.

  4. Oil slick Gove is the go-to guy for this kind of schmozzle, oozing his way meaninglessly through interviews in which he professes ignorance of things he cannot possibly not know about. Gove pulled the C4 leaders’ debate stunt, turning up with cameraman & sound man to ..

  5. There are two distinct things going on: 1 a govt. which has moved on from Blairite spin to outright, constant lying & 2 a national broadcaster which refuses to recognise or acknowledge this theme at all (why not?) & from time to time abets it, both wittingly & otherwise.

  6. Btw. the fact this tweet is heading toward 90,000 views suggests by itself that the story is of considerable interest. Yet another reason, if any were required, why it should have been covered.

  7. To all the people telling me about today’s airing of yesterday’s news, perhaps think about the word - ‘news’. It’s supposed to be fresh. The BBC had the story from the first minute & could have published it in the second. They obliterated it instead. Who decided that & why?

  8. The Guardian covers what the editor of the BBC’s main evening news & its webmaster considered not worth reporting, even though the matter was aired in the House of Commons & attracted adverse comment from the deputy speaker.

  10. Should I complain to the BBC about its non-reporting of this lobby thing? No. Definitely not. They will say reports were dotted about in various places (a tweet, a mention on R4) & give some bland, patronising reply. I’m not wasting my time. Both the story ..

  11. Right. There are THREE stories: 1 the attempt to select those who get lobby briefings 2 the particular media outlets deemed unsuitable & 3 the walkout According to BBC 10 o’clock news none is worth reporting. you & your editors are corrupt, overpaid cowards & frauds.

Government attacks impartial civil service and diplomats - media: yay! Government attacks independent judiciary and lawyers who take on government - media: yay! Government attacks free press - media: what, we did not see that coming

  14. .. the sexed up dossier story shattered the BBC’s self confidence & we are now witnessing the pitiful result. Journalism requires courage & integrity. Lots of both.

  15. This has to be considered alongside the prorogation scandal & the BBC’s ‘oh, isn’t this interesting’ angle in its reports. Both had the same aim - to evade scrutiny - & a properly independent news organisation would be clambering all over the story. My theory? David Kelly & ..

  16. It’s clearly a deliberate editorial decision. Does anyone still harbour doubts about the BBC’s partiality & cowardice? Its journalists’ contemptuous rebuttals of accusations of bias are pretty outrageous IMO. I refer to & . These people are overpaid frauds.

  18. Maybe someone else can spot it on the BBC website but I cannot see the story about our fascistic government trying to exclude unfriendly reporters from today’s lobby briefing, nor anything about the walkout, a political act of some importance.

  20. .. When the investigation is complete, if an offence is disclosed, the file goes to the CPS who decide whether to prosecute. At this rate, we shall all be dead & gone by the time any case gets to trial. IMO you can safely treat this one case as a litmus test of the integrity ..

  21. So far as Arcuri is concerned, because Johnson was mayor, he must be dealt with by the IOPC. Their regs. require that they first decide whether an investigation is warranted. Then they decide whether to conduct the investigate themselves or nominate a police force to do it ..
