    This is random, but it is legitimately absurd that residents of Washington DC have *no* voting representation in Congress. I feel like we don’t talk about that enough.

        It's also one of the clearest examples of "state's rights" republicans as they veto voter approved legislation so they can pander to their base. It's true tyranny.

        Many of us think the problem with making dc free of federal taxes is it would trigger even more rapid gentrification as people rushed to live in a tax haven and soon only the richest of the rich would live here.
