in all seriousness while it sometimes gets mocked & scoffed at i think wikipedia (as long as you're careful with citations) is one of our greatest recent innovations & has played a huge role in providing access to the type of information that many people otherwise wouldn't have

Wikipedia is one of the most underrated resources I know of. People crack jokes about it all the time, but the Wiki crew and dedicated volunteers spend so much time updating, revising, & preventing those with an agenda from assholery.
