Yesterday was the 100th day this season with at least 24" snow depth for Anchorage. This is a new record. With a current depth of 26", we should be able to add another day or two to the record. (today is day 101).
Looking back at almost 2.5 years of data, April is the month with the greatest number of days that I have seen a moose. So far this April, it is 10 out of 15 days. Kind of curious why April is the peak month. #BigData
Still winter above 2,000' in the Falls Creek valley. The Snotel station in the next valley over (at a lower elevation) is reporting a snow depth of 82".
