Unsurvivable heat sooner than expected: 'The limit of survivability, at 35C WBT, was almost reached in Bandar Mahshahr in Iran in July 2015, where 46C heat combined with 50% humidity. “This suggests the threshold may be breached sooner than projected".'

Slashing emissions to zero in the 2020s is vital, but it seems that even this wouldn't be enough to prevent unsurvivable humid heatwaves within decades. 'The goal of limiting global warming to less than 2°C..will not be sufficient to prevent this scenario'https://www.mpg.de/10481936/climate-change-middle-east-north-africa …

The planet is undergoing one of the largest climate changes in the past 65 million years, set to occur at a rate 10 times faster than any change in that period. Without intervention, this extreme pace could lead to an unsurvivable 5°C -7°C by the 2080s.https://twitter.com/ClimateBen/status/1195709431989854209?s=19 …

Deadly US heat: Unsurvivable heatwaves... 'large parts of the planet are already uninhabitable, at least for some percentage of the population some percentage of the time. And the heat waves are hitting harder, and coming more frequently than ever before'https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2017/06/extreme-heat-global-warming …

Horrible feedback loop - killer heat requires more air conditioning which requires more energy which leads to more emissions. Meanwhile, the cockroaches and all the little beasties are out of control, those, including animals, outside get no relief. Not good situation.

Climate breakdown will cause 'summer heat waves with levels of heat and humidity that EXCEED WHAT HUMANS CAN SURVIVE...
These deadly heat waves could begin within as little as a few decades to strike regions of India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh'
